3 Miles with an Unexpected Visitor

I ran 3 early this morning and was a bit startled when a pretty large red fox was in my neighbor's yard as I turned the corner....yikes. I love seeing wildlife....deer, geese, bunnies, and ducks...but the more vicious kind I can live without. He stared at me and I started walking slowly and he finally ran off. We live near woods and horse pastures so you never know what kind of critter I will encounter.

It has been a busy day and I am glad to have gotten my run in today. It was a chilly morning and although I did still feel that nagging dull pain STILL, I am able to run these short distances fine. I am beginning to wonder if this is something I am going to have to live with...at least I am able to stay pretty active.

Level 3?

30 day shred....level three....what was I thinking?

Great workout, though. You should try it.

Ran 3 miles this morning. The temps have been really mild this week...nice running weather.

Tuesday

"Consistency requires discipline. Force yourself out the door."

(Runner's World quote)

About 3 1/2 miles today...nice run in the dark and some light towards the end. Although my distances are short, it is so wonderful to be running!

Today

I enjoyed a nice run later in the morning today...4 miles and lots of sunshine.

A funny thing my youngest said this morning...."Mommy, can we goo goo search for Thomas the Tank games?" I love children's funny interpretations of things they hear us say.

Have a wonderful weekend!

2010

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2010 so far. I was a little bit worried about Wendy and her family as they were traveling on their little blizzard adventure, but I am glad they all are safe and sound now!

I ran 3 miles this morning in the cold. Felt good...I especially love leaving the house in the dark and having the cold hit my face...very energizing. My older kids think that I am crazy. I just like it.

I have actually been doing Jillian's 30 day shred more (about 4 times a week) and that has been really good. I think I needed this. I am challenged by the strength part of the workouts. The cardio is pretty easy. I like that you just do a move for a short time and then move on to something else, so if it is hard, you know you just have to do it for a little bit.

I recently joined sparkpeople.com, which has been a lot of fun. It is mainly for those wanting to lose weight, but I love that I can keep track of my meals(everything from fat grams, calories, and omega 3s to calcium and vit c). Right now, that is all I am tracking, but you can also track fitness, read articles related to fitness and nutrition, and find workout routines. I don't spend very much time there and haven't figured it all out, but it has been great for tracking my foods and making me careful in choosing the right things.
