This week, but who's counting?

Monday--4.5 miles
Tuesday--5 miles
Wednesday--4.5 miles
Thursday--rest, but 20 minutes of aqua running with resistance weights
Friday--close to 6 miles today!

It has been a great week of running. I was running mid morning, but the heat was really tough...so I have moved back to early morning and it is much better. I am still drenched at 7am. Love it, though!

We leave for the beach in the morning, so I am going to run a few times on the beach or on the bike trail that is close to our house. About 70 of my family members will be there...maybe I can find a running buddy!

Have a great week!

Progress

Monday--4.5 mile run
Tuesday--3.5 walk in the am and a 3 mile walk in the pm...I enjoy a nice powerwalk!
Wednesday--3.5 mile run

Abigail and I were thinking about signing up for a boot camp for 2 weeks at 6am every morning while Gracie is gone to Summit, but after hiking Pinnacle on Saturday, I realized that pushing it could cause a re-injury and I am not up for that. So, maybe another boot camp at another time!

4.5 miles yesterday
3 miles running and 3 miles walking today.

I have been running mid morning lately and it has been so hot. I am slowly getting used to it and it is getting a little easier. I am probably going to need to go back to early morning running, especially for my longer runs. The sweating is fun, but when I am totally drenched when I get home, it is a little too much...and I feel drained.

We are going hiking tomorrow, so I am planning to take a break from running for the weekend. The hiking will be a great workout and I need some rest time. I'll be back to it on Monday!

Gracie leaves this Sunday for the Summit Worldview Camp at Pike's Peak. We are so excited for her and know she will learn so much while there! We are praying it will be a great experience for her and she will grow closer to God as she learns how to stand firm in this world. She will be gone for 2 weeks...so we will miss her. Please pray that she will have safe travels(by herself) and a safe time while there.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Rescuing the Helpless!

I ran about 4 miles and walked one mile yesterday.

Today I ran somewhere in between 5-6 miles. (It felt so good, by the way!)

On both runs I rescued a turtle that was on the road about to be hit by a car. One was huge...it's shell was about 12 inches long...the other was tiny. After all the rain we have received this week, I guess the turtles were out and about. I actually saw 4 turtles on one run! I wish I could have brought one of them home for my younger children to see.

Today

I ran 4.5 miles on Monday and 6 miles today. Both great runs. There were 6 geese in a field close to the road that I passed this morning while running. I have seen ducks a few times, but never the geese this close up...usually they are flying up above me. The coolness and sunshine have made for some great running days!
